About EWDNA
The Ethiopian Women with Disabilities National Association (EWDNA) is a national membership-based organization established in 2002 to promote and protect the rights of women and girls with disabilities across Ethiopia. EWDNA works to advance gender equality, disability inclusion, economic empowerment, leadership, sexual and reproductive health and rights, prevention of gender-based violence, and humanitarian inclusion through advocacy, capacity strengthening, research, and partnership.
Job Purpose
The Communication and Resource Mobilization Officer is responsible for strengthening EWDNA's visibility, managing internal and external communications, developing fundraising initiatives, identifying funding opportunities, supporting proposal development, and maintaining strategic relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders.
Communication
- Develop and implement EWDNA's communication and visibility strategy.
- Manage the organization's website and social media platforms.
- Produce high-quality communication materials, including newsletters, success stories, press releases, brochures, and annual reports.
- Document project achievements through photographs, videos, human-interest stories, and case studies.
- Ensure donor visibility requirements and branding guidelines are consistently met.
- Support the organization of events, workshops, conferences, and advocacy campaigns.
- Maintain EWDNA's communication database and archive.
Resource Mobilization
- Identify funding opportunities from bilateral, multilateral, foundations, corporate, and philanthropic donors.
- Regularly monitor donor calls and funding announcements.
- Coordinate proposal development processes in collaboration with technical staff.
- Develop concept notes, grant proposals, donor presentations, and fundraising materials.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of EWDNA's Resource Mobilization Strategy.
Salary:- As per the organization's salary scale and based on qualifications and experience.
