ACT American College of Technology is looking for a responsible, student-focused, and highly organized professional to join our team as Head of Student Affairs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating student services, supporting student wellbeing and engagement, addressing student concerns, and ensuring a positive and supportive student experience across the college.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the Student Affairs Department and its activities.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for students regarding student-related concerns and support services.
- Provide guidance and support to students regarding academic, personal, social, and campus-related matters.
- Develop and implement programs that promote student engagement, wellbeing, personal development, and retention.
- Coordinate student orientation, extracurricular activities, clubs, events, workshops, and other student programs.
- Establish effective systems for receiving, documenting, following up, and resolving student concerns and complaints.
- Work closely with academic and administrative departments to address student needs and concerns.
- Monitor student participation, engagement, attendance, and general student experience.
- Collect and analyze student feedback and recommend improvements to college services.
- Support students experiencing personal, social, or academic challenges and make appropriate referrals when professional support is required.
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and supportive campus environment.
- Maintain appropriate student affairs records, reports, and documentation.
- Develop and implement student affairs policies, procedures, and initiatives in collaboration with college management.
- Organize student development programs covering areas such as leadership, professionalism, life skills, career readiness, and personal development.
- Support communication between students, faculty, administration, and management.
- Handle student matters with appropriate confidentiality, professionalism, and sensitivity.
- Prepare regular reports on student affairs activities, challenges, student feedback, and recommendations.
- Perform other student-related responsibilities assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Education, Student Affairs, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in student affairs, counseling, education, student support, academic administration, youth development, or a related area.
- Experience working with college or university students is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, listening, and counseling skills.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and organizational abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and management.
- Strong understanding of student development and support.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle student matters professionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant digital tools.
