About
I am a Solar Power, IT, ICT, Telecommunications, and Maintenance Specialist with more than 16 years of experience supporting humanitarian and field operations. I currently lead ICT, telecommunications, connectivity, solar energy, backup power, and technical maintenance activities for UNHCR emergency operations.My expertise includes solar photovoltaic systems, generators, UPS and battery systems, DMR and HF/VHF/UHF communications, VSAT, Starlink, Cisco networks, Microsoft 365, electrical infrastructure, preventive maintenance, and technical troubleshooting. I have established critical infrastructure from the ground up, implemented a 67kW solar power system, and supported operations serving more than 900,000 refugees and internally displaced persons across Bokh, Melkadida, and Tigray.I combine hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, infrastructure planning, technical specifications, procurement support, vendor coordination, and capacity development. My focus is delivering reliable and sustainable technology, communications, and power solutions in challenging operational environments.
